Welcome to the Toronto Neighbourhood Guide Blog
What is your favourite Toronto neighbourhood ?
People choose to live in a particular neighbourhood because they believe that it suits their lifestyle the best whether they happen to be single, just married, raising a family or empty nesters. Residents of a particular neighbourhood may have been drawn there by the amenities, the shopping district, the parks, the schools, access to transit, the size and style of the homes, the overall streetscape, or the price range of the homes.
I would be pleased to hear from you about your favourite Toronto neighbourhood and why it is your favourite. Many of the visitors to this website are online doing research and trying to decide which Toronto neighbourhood would suit them the best. There is nothing better than a first hand account from somebody already living in the neighbourhood but please be objective. Your comments and insights are greatly appreciated.

I grew up in Moore Park, and Deer Park so I really like those neighbourhoods. Rosedale is a classic yet understated neighbourhood that ranks with the best locations in the world. Forest Hill is the west of Yonge Street version of Rosedale; equally impressive. Summerhill is hip and urban and so is Yorkville. There is definitely a buzz in the Annex and a youthful exuberance. The Bridle Path is like going through an enchanted forest. Don Mills and York Mills are suburbs in the city; the best of both worlds. Lytton Park, Lawrence Park and Kingsway Park are ideal for the executive family. Families looking for good schools and amenities also will want to flock to North Toronto, Allenby, Cedarvale, Davisville Village, Riverdale, The Beach, Bloor West Village, Sunnylea, Swansea, Leaside, Bedford Park, Bennington Heights and Wanless Park. Want the best park in the city; check out the High Park neighbourhood. If you are looking for entertainment the Harbourfront cannot be beat. Looking for something with cache try the Cricket Club, Chaplin Estates, Ledbury Park, Thorncrest Village, Hoggs Hollow and South Hill. First time buyers are going to love living in neighbourhoods like Leslieville, Danforth Village, East York, Todmorden Village, Trinity Bellwoods, Liberty Village, Little Italy, South Annex, Harbourfront and Roncessvalles Village. More later …

I have always had this attraction to Leaside. It is centrally located with access to all you need for an urban lifestyle. My vote goes for Leaside, mind you it is getting expensive.
